While the under-18s season ended over the weekend, the academy players are not yet on vacation.

Manchester United tied the game 1-1, with Victor Musa scoring a second-half equalizer off the bench.
Victor Musa scored his first goal for Manchester United at under-21 level, and while it was only a friendly, it was a terrific way for him to cap off a strong season.
Musa got into the under-18s team this season and finished the season with six goals.
The 16-year-old is well-positioned to make an impact in 2023/24. United giving Musa the opportunity to step up is a statement of trust.

Noam Emeran missed a late penalty for Manchester United. Emeran had scored twice in the under-21s’ final league game of the season, so this came as a surprise.
Teden Mengi came on as a substitute, while Charlie Wellens was injured in the first half and had to be replaced. Omari Forson was a constant threat, but this was Musa’s night.

Blackpool’s Development Squad went toe-to-toe with a strong Manchester United XI at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night.
Brad Holmes found the opening goal for the Seasiders in the first half with a composed finish before the visitors equalised in the second half through substitute Victor Musa.
Manchester United controlled proceedings in the opening stages of the game as the Seasiders remained resolute in their shape to force United into shots from range despite their overall control of possession. Tobias Collyer was one of those to test from range but the ball sailed calmly over the bar.
After stemming a spell of United pressure, Blackpool had a chance of their own as the ball opened up in midfield for Rob Apter to drive at the heart of the visitors defence before his strike from the edge of the box was deflected away for a corner.
The Seasiders continued to grow into the game and cause the United defence problems with Brad Holmes getting in behind and firing a shot away which deflected back to his feet, he remained composed and fired past Radek Vitek to open the scoring for the hosts in the 29th minute.
Charlie Wellens, son of former Seasider Richie Wellens, was forced off in the first half, replaced by Maxi Oyedele. There was another break in play in the 35th minute as Josh Nyame had to be treated but he was fit to resume play. After the tempo dropped in the latter stages of the first half, Noam Emera
ooked to threaten from range but the effort caused Harvey Bardsley no harm as the Seasiders went in with the lead at half time.
