Time for Harry Kane to Leave Tottenham: Manchester United Move Possible
According to CBS Sports on Paramount+, Thierry Henry recommended that Manchester United prioritize purchasing Tottenham’s Harry Kane instead of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window. The former Premier League star praised Kane’s knowledge of the league and versatility, stating that he can play in various positions. Manchester United, led by coach Erik ten Hag and competing in the Champions League, are reportedly seeking a striker to bolster their squad and increase their chances of winning the Premier League.
Since Wout Weghorst is on loan from Burnley and will be returning to his parent club after his loan deal expires in the summer, Manchester United will likely be seeking a new striker. Harry Kane, who has less than a year remaining on his contract, has raised questions about his future. When Jamie Carragher posed the question of whether Manchester United should sign Osimhen or Kane to Thierry Henry, Henry responded with the following answer.
Henry responded: “Again, Sorry Spurs fans. Sorry Napoli fans. But we are talking about now something that can happen or not, it’s far from it.
“But, again, because of the Premier League and he knows the Premier League. If I am Man United, then I go Kane. That doesn’t mean Osimhen isn’t a good player, or whatever. It’s got nothing to do with that.
“I think Osimhen can adapt in any league. But I am Man United, then I will look at ‘okay, this guy doesn’t need to adapt to anything and he has a way of dropping that can allow Marcus Rashford to run in-behind him when he drops’. Kane can play anywhere, by the way.”
Regardless of Tottenham’s performance this season, it appears that Kane’s time with the club has come to an end, and he must make a decision on his future. He could choose to move to Old Trafford for a new challenge, or he could consider moving abroad. There is now a sense of urgency for Kane to make a move, as he may either make a transfer this summer or sign a new contract with Tottenham, a club that is currently uncertain about their future manager.
