Mo Salah’s Cairo Villa Stolen as a Shocking Account of Theft and Loss of electrical goods and valuables
According to reports, burglars broke into the villa of Mohamed Salah, a well-known footballer from Liverpool, and stole electronics and other valuable items. The break-in at his home, which is located in Cairo and is worth £350,000 per week, was reported by an Egyptian newspaper. The burglary was not detected until Salah’s nephew noticed an open window as he passed by the property
The family member contacted the police and went inside to discover items strewn around the floor of the burgled property. It has not been confirmed what belongings were stolen, but Egyptian media said ‘electrical’ items and ‘devices’ were taken. Father-of-two Salah is an icon in is home nation – dubbed ‘The Egyptian King’ and ‘The Pharaoh’. He is considered one of Egypt’s most famous sportsmen. Police are looking through CCTV footage and interviewing security staff in search of the robbers.

According to a source quoted by Al-Ahram, the police are reviewing the footage from the surrounding surveillance cameras and questioning the security personnel responsible for the safety of the villa. The Public Prosecution office in Cairo has opened an investigation into the burglary. Salah, who is known for his charitable work, has invested in a hospital in Egypt and even helped rebuild a church that was set on fire in 2022. Meanwhile, Liverpool is currently ranked sixth in the 2022/23 season, with two games in hand over Newcastle and Brighton, who are ranked sixth and seventh, respectively.
Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday, with Salah missing a penalty during the match.
