Fabrizio Romano Confirms £70m Player’s Impending Exit Amid Arsenal Links
Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton, is virtually probably leaving the club this summer, according to reports.
On his YouTube channel, journalist Fabrizio Romano discussed the fates of Caicedo and his teammate Alexis Mac Allister.
This season, Brighton have been one of the Premier League’s most outstanding teams.
They’ve played some amazing football under Roberto De Zerbi, and they’ve qualified for Europe for the first time in their history.
Unsurprisingly, their greatest players have been linked with moves elsewhere this summer.
Alexis MacAllister appears to be on his way to Anfield soon after an extraordinary season in which he won the World Cup.
Moises Caicedo may also depart Brighton, with Arsenal still interested in the Ecuadorian after missing out on him in January.
Fabrizio Romano has updated his research on the £70 million midfielder.
This summer, he could wind up upgrading the Europa League for the Champions League.
Caicedo is almost probably leaving Arsenal this summer.
“Roberto De Zerbi has said that [Alexis] Mac Allister and [Moises] Caicedo have a very good chance of leaving the club,” Romano added of the Brighton combination.
“It’s 100% for Mac Allister and 90% for Caicedo.”
“From what I understand, when Caicedo signed a new contract at Brighton, there was no release clause, but when Arsenal approached in January, Roberto De Zerbi told the player to stay with us until the end of the season and we will sell you in the summer.”
“This was the plan, it was promised to the player, and so Roberto De Zerbi is very respectful.”
“However, now is the time to find solutions.” Many clubs are interested in Caicedo, including Arsenal, while many more are keeping an eye on the midfielder. Caicedo is on Chelsea’s list.”
Arsenal fans will be fantasizing about a midfield duo of Caicedo and Declan Rice, with both players potentially leaving their current clubs.
Granit Xhaka is expected to leave this season, leaving a void in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.
With Thomas Partey also battling to break into the starting lineup ahead of Jorginho, an improvement might be brought in to fill that position as well.
It’s the most obvious spot to strive to improve an already formidable Arsenal squad.
Moises Caicedo may be a fantastic addition in that area, and Brighton appear to be resigned to losing their Ecuadorian star.
