Contract is ready,’ says Fabrizio Romano, who believes Tottenham fans will hear exciting news’very soon.’
It’s time to celebrate Tottenham Hotspur fans, because it appears that Pedro Porro will join your club in the coming days.
Spurs have only signed Arnaut Danjuma in this month’s transfer window. The Dutchman is an exciting signing, but Antonio Conte is looking for a right-wing-back.
Porro has been their top target, and a deal is reportedly close to being completed.
Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon have been in talks about signing Pedro Porro since the January transfer window opened nearly four weeks ago.
Spurs’ right-wing-backs are Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty at the moment, and both have struggled to deliver on a consistent basis over the last 18 months.
Djed Spence was signed last summer, but Conte does not seem to trust him, and he could be allowed to leave the club on loan in the coming days.

A new right-wing-back has been a priority for Tottenham for a while now, and Fabrizio Romano thinks Spurs will sign Porro ‘very soon’.
“It was not an easy negotiation because Sporting really wanted to keep the player, but Pedro Porro wanted to go to Tottenham,” he told GiveMeSport.
“The contract is ready, so they’re just waiting for the final steps of this deal.
“I believe it will be completed very soon.”
Tottenham fans should be overjoyed if this transaction goes through as planned.
Porro is one of the best players his age in his position, and he’s a significant upgrade over Emerson and Doherty. Wing-backs are essential to Conte’s style of play, and with the Spaniard, his team will undoubtedly be stronger.
The window closes on Tuesday, giving Spurs five days to finalize the details of this deal. That’s more than enough time, and Porro appears to be on his way to becoming a new Tottenham player.
It will be interesting to see if Porro’s arrival, if it occurs, will allow one of Emerson or Doherty to leave the club.
