Chelsea has inked a’summer bargain’ after the agreement has been verified.
CHELSEA have confirmed the signing of South American wonderkid Kendry Paez at a bargain.
Since Ted Boehly’s arrival at the club last summer, the team has spent a lot of money on some of the top young players in the league right now.
It is apparent that the American has a long-term plan at Stamford Bridge and has ensured that we have beaten off their rivals for those skills – and it appears that they have done so yet again with the potential signing of Paez.
The midfielder is expected to cost the club approximately £20 million, with any possible sum sure to climb based on his performances up until his 18th birthday.
Paez’s club, Independiente del Valle, has now revealed that Chelsea will pay less for him.
“Because of what the country is experiencing, I would not dare to give the amounts for the transfer of Kendry Paez to Chelsea,” he told Mach Deportes.
“But it is not the $20 million that is being talked about, it’s a smaller amount.”
It’s a huge decision for the lad, as it may make or ruin his Premier League future.’
But, if he can adjust to the English way of life – the Premier League and the pressures of playing for a team like Chelsea – he might be a very interesting acquisition for fans to watch.
This is a significant step for him, and we all hope that it is the correct one.
