Arsenal’s Wild Celebrations under FA Investigation after Dramatic Last-Minute Winner against Bournemouth
The Football Association is examining the celebrations of Arsenal following Reiss Nelson’s last-minute goal against Bournemouth in the Premier League match.
After being 2-0 down, Arsenal made a comeback to win the match at the Emirates Stadium with Reiss Nelson’s goal in the 97th minute. Despite Mikel Arteta not joining in, the club’s coaching staff and substitutes rushed onto the pitch to celebrate the goal.
Referee Chris Kavanagh has reported the celebrations to the Football Association, and they are currently being investigated. It is uncertain whether Arsenal will face any consequences for the incident.
According to the IFAB Laws of the Game, individuals in the technical area are expected to behave responsibly and remain within its boundaries, except in certain situations such as a physiotherapist or doctor entering the field with the referee’s permission to assess an injured player.

In a similar incident in 2018, Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, was fined £8,000 by the FA for admitting to misconduct after he ran onto the pitch at Anfield to celebrate Divock Origi’s late winner with Alisson during the Merseyside Derby.
Following the match, Bournemouth manager Gary O’Neil stated that he had no problems with the actions of Arsenal’s players and staff after the late goal.
During his post-match press conference, O’Neil said, “I have no comment to make on what Arsenal did. I shook hands with Mikel. It was a game that he needed to win and I needed something from it as well. We battled it out, and he emerged victorious. They scored the goal, so they are free to celebrate however they want.”
